Daily: PE Schedule
MONDAY/THURSDAY 10/04 & 10/07
6th Grade
Activity 1: Warm-ups Dynamic Movement; Flexibility and Aerobic Capacity
Activity 2: Color Dash
Activity 3: Tabata Training- Resistance
Objectives:
1. Students will prepare their body for upcoming activity to encourage blood flow and increase heart rate with cardiorespiratory endurance
2. Students will be linking pattern movement utilizing sets moving forward, lateral, diagonal shuffles to increase mobility, and increase heart rate at a target zone
3. Students will differentiate fitness activities with proper form and attention to safety to increase heart rate and to place muscles under duress
Learning Objective: By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to distinguish and demonstrate safe participation in fitness (muscular strength endurance, aerobic capacity) utilizing resistance bands
Learning Cues:
Dynamic Movements-Follow Movement Cues, Listen for Start/Stop Signals, and Maintain Exercise Intensity Level
Color Dash-Listen to Start/Stop Signals, Move Safely, Follow Instructions
Tabata Training Resistance- Follow Exercise Cues, Listen for Start/Stop Signals, Pace Your Activity to Warm and Activate Your Muscles
DOK 1: How is following teacher instructions related to staying physically active in physical education class?
DOK 2: How can you recognize appropriate and safe fitness participation?
